Second Announcement

It is a great honour to announce the 14th Symposium of the Japanese Scandinavian Radiological Society (SJRS) and the 17th Nordic Japan Imaging Informatics Symposium in Stockholm 30 May – 1 June 2023. The conference will be arranged by Karolinska University Hospital. The registration procedure will start January 2023 and will be announced at Society home pages.

The Japanese Scandinavian Radiology Society was founded by Professor Kumazaki, Tokyo and Professor Nordenström, Stockholm in 1985.  The purpose is to facilitate the exchange of young radiologists between Japan and Scandinavia and to arrange joint scientific meetings. Since 1993, the meetings have been held together with the Nordic Japanese PACS Symposium, which was founded as a forum for the exchange of ideas for the development of PACS.

Progress in Radiology 2023 aims to promote a scientific exchange and to build professional networks between Scandinavian and Japanese radiologists.  This Symposium will focus on the contribution of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine in Precision Medicine.

First the pandemic, since the war in Ukraine has affected us all, but the society remains strongly committed to the scientific development of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and we look forward to meeting all the "old" and new friends in Stockholm.

President elect, professor Rimma Axelsson
Karolinska University Hospital and
Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm,
